Apple iPhone 7 Announcement

Apple announced the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at September 2016 keynote event. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple has sold over 1 billion iPhones and declaring it as the industry gold standard by which all other smartphones are compared. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were the spotlight of the Apple keynote event and both these phones have received positive response from the members of the press and fans alike. Here are the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus announcements:

Apple iPhone 7 Build and Design

The new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been redesigned to incorporate new features and improved some previous features as well. The glass sheet at the front and the aluminium body meet more closely at the edges. The plastic antenna lines now go at the top and bottom at the back which shows more of the beautiful metal back rather than showing less because of the antenna lines in the iPhone 6 and 6S.

Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come in five colors, three of them are old favourites silver, gold and rose gold. The two new colors are “black” which is a black matte finish and “jet black” which is a glossy finish made using a special, as said by Apple, “anodization process” which gives its unique shine and gloss making it stand out from the rest of the iPhone finishes. For the first time, the new Apple iPhone is now IP67 certified, meaning that the new body protects the phone against spills, dust and water splashes.

The new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has an improved Retina HD display. The new Retina HD display is now brighter, more colorful allowing it to display a wider color gamut for better color reproduction than ever before. The screen resolution and size of the phones is the same as last time with 4.7-inches 750×1334 pixels for the iPhone 7 and 5.5-inches 1080×1920 pixels for the iPhone 7 Plus.

The Home button on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has been redesigned as well. The Home button is now force sensitive just like how the screen was made force sensitive in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Apple is calling it “force sensitive, solid state” meaning that the button works when you apply force on it. The Home button works with the Taptic Engine in the iPhone which gives you a taptic feedback when you are using it.
