Reliance Jio officially launched its 4G services in India on September 5 and since then, Jio has gotten a lot of attention particularly due to its lucrative rates and offering free voice calls to everyone on any network in India. Jio currently offers both Prepaid and Postpaid plans for its Indian users. Let’s take a quick look at the Affordable and Simple Jio Tariff Plans and see which plan suits you best according to your needs.
Jio Prepaid Plans
Reliance Jio is currently offering 10 different Prepaid plans for its users starting from INR 19 and goes up to INR 4999. The Jio tariffs of prepaid plans are Rs 19, 129, 149, 299, 499, 999, 1499, 2499, 3999, 4999 respectively.
The Prepaid plans with tariffs Rs. 19, Rs. 129 and Rs. 299 cannot be availed as a 1st recharge offer by new subscribers of Jio. Means that in order to avail anyone of these prepaid plans, you have to subscribe to any other Jio prepaid plan first.
The reason behind this is that all 3 of these prepaid plans have a validity period of less than 28 days which is standard for other 7 prepaid packs. Prepaid plan with Rs. 19 tariff has a validity period of 1 day, Rs. 129 has a validity period of 7 days and Rs. 299 prepaid plan has a validity period of 21 days.
Jio Postpaid Plans
Reliance Jio also offers Jio Postpaid plans for Indian users starting from INR 149 and goes all the way up to INR 4999. The postpaid plan tariffs are Rs. 149, 499, 999, 1499, 2499, 3999, 4999 respectively.
Since the validity of postpaid plans depends on the billing cycle, therefore there is no restriction on the choice of a postpaid plan unlike a prepaid plan.
Before you plan to avail any of the above mentioned Jio tariff plans, you should keep it in mind that these plans will be available from 1st January 2017. Since Reliance Jio uses LTE for its network coverage in India, you should have a LTE supported handset before you opt for any Jio plans.
